The event is organised in a group chat with forty people. Who is bringing the cake and whether the permit has been applied for is somewhere further up in the thread.
In the end the work is left to the few who have the overview, and helpers do not know where they are still needed.
From the “Event” template: columns, labels and the first tasks are there, from the permit to the accounts.
Every task gets an assignee from the organising team and a date.
As guests, free of charge and as many as you like. They create an account and see only the board of the event.
On the day, the board shows what is still missing. Afterwards everything stays in place, for the accounts and for next year.
Tobias can do the barbecue shift from 14:00 to 16:00 on the day and writes that on the card. The event lead enters him in the checklist of shifts and names the next free shift straight away. Everyone sees what is still open without scrolling up in the chat.
The cake donations are a checklist on a card. Whoever promises a cake is ticked off, by the helpers themselves if you wish. On the board the status appears as a number such as 4/8, so the event lead sees at once how many are still missing.
The posters only go to print once the serving of drinks has been registered with the Ordnungsamt, the local public order office. You enter such dependencies on the card, and the board then shows “Waiting for”. The timeline shows all tasks up to the day of the event, and you move a date by dragging.
One board for the event: every task has a person responsible and a date, and the columns show the status.

Up to five people in the organising team and three boards use Kanbalino at no cost and with no trial period that runs out. Helpers join as guests, as many as you need, and never count.
If the organising team grows beyond five people or you need more than three boards, Premium starts at €4.95 per person and month, billed yearly, including VAT.
Yes, a free one, with the address from your invitation. After that they see only the boards you invite them to. They do not have to install anything, Kanbalino runs in the browser.
Not as the assignee, tasks can only be assigned to the organising team. Helpers write on the card which shift they will take, and the event lead enters them. There is no list with a fixed number of places per shift.
A guest sees the whole board they are invited to, but no others. What only the organising team should read, you write as an internal note, which guests never see. Members’ phone numbers therefore do not belong on cards that helpers read.
No. Members, membership fees and direct debits stay there, as do votes and date polls, which Kanbalino does not have. Kanbalino is the place for events, projects and the work of the committee.
In the members window of a board you make the successor an “Owner”, and in Administration an admin of the workspace. The workspace itself stays with the account that created it, and it cannot currently be transferred.
For an organising team of up to five people with three boards, for example committee, summer party and Christmas market, yes. As guests, helpers do not count, not even in large numbers. There is no separate plan for clubs; beyond that, Premium applies per person in the team.
Not yet, a dedicated app for iOS and Android is planned. Until then Kanbalino runs in the browser and can be added to the home screen of your phone like an app.
