Kanbalino is meant to be usable with a keyboard and with a screen reader. This page says what we measure ourselves against, what we have measured and what is still missing.
Our standard for the application and for this website is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA. This has been our goal since October 2026. We have not fully reached it yet, the known gaps are listed further down.
Before a new version of the application is released, an automatic check runs. It looks for buttons without a name, fields without a label, images without alternative text, clickable areas without keyboard access and missing focus indicators. If it finds anything, nothing is released.
Measured on 6 October 2026 with Lighthouse 12.8.2, accessibility category. In the application, the dashboard, calendar, administration and settings score 100 out of 100 points in the Klar design, the board also scores 100 (measured on 16 October 2026). On the website, the home page in both languages and the English pricing page score 100. A measurement like this only checks what can be checked automatically.
These are the gaps we know of. The list grows when you tell us about another one, and shrinks when we close one.
In the Warm and Modern designs, coloured text does not reach a contrast of 4.5 to 1 everywhere. Only the Klar design has full contrast. You choose it in the application under “Settings”.
The planning canvas is a drawing tool. Selecting, labelling, moving and deleting work with the keyboard. Creating an element, drawing a connection and resizing an area so far only work with a mouse, a finger or a pen.
In the calendar and in the timeline you move dates by dragging. We have not checked whether this works with the keyboard throughout. In any case, you can also change the date in the card window.
The files the application generates have not been checked: time reports as PDF and exports as CSV or Excel.
